The Games and Learning Alliance conference is an international conference dedicated to the science and application of serious games.

GaLA 2021 (10th edition) will be held early December 2021 in La Spezia (Italy) and probably also online, in order to allow all potential authors and interested people to participate.

The conference intends to bring together researchers, developers, practitioners and stakeholders without putting our health at risk. This environment will allow us interact, share the state of the art of research, analyze the most significant trends and discussing visions on the future of serious games. The conference also includes a virtual exhibition, where developers can showcase their latest products.

The conference is organized by the Serious Games Society, which is building a scientific community at international level for shaping future research in the field. This community represents a significant blend of industrial and academic professionals committed to the study, development and deployment of serious games as really useful and effective tools to support better teaching, learning, training and assessment.

The GaLA Conference 2020 Proceedings will be published on Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS, indexed by Scopus), and the best papers in a special issue of the Int.l Journal of Serious Games, indexed by ESCI WoS, as the previous years.
