Prof. Alf Wang
Professor of Game Technology, Computer Science Department, Norwegian University of Science and Technology

Alf Inge Wang is currently working as a professor in Game Technology at the department of computer and information science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where he teaches courses on programming, software architecture, mobile application development and game development. He received his PhD in software engineering in 2001. His research interests are game-based learning, game development, game concept development, computer support for mobile collaborative work, peer-to-peer computing, software architecture, and software engineering education. He has published more than 90 scientific papers including journal papers, book chapters and being editor for a book. He has also been in several the program committees for various conferences and workshops and arranged several special sessions and workshops. In 2013 he won the Norwegian Award to Technical Achievement 2014. Alf Inge is the inventor and co-founder of Kahoot! and the chairman of JoinGame, and he has also co-founded PlayPulse and is inventor and co-founder of BitPet.
Brenda Romero

Brenda Romero is an award-winning game designer, Fulbright scholar, entrepreneur, artist, writer and creative director who entered the video game industry in 1981. Brenda has worked with a variety of digital game companies as a game designer, creative director or consultant, including Atari, Sir-tech Software, Electronic Arts and numerous companies in the social and mobile space. From 2016-2019 she was the Program Director of the MSc in Game Design & Development at Limerick University. She is currently co-founder and CEO of independent game developer at Romero Games, Ltd in Galway, Ireland. Brenda has extensive experience in PC, console and casual gaming. In 2017, she was awarded the Development Legend award at the Develop conference in the UK. In 2015, she won the coveted Ambassador’s Award at the Game Developers Choice Awards.cShe is a 2014 Fulbright Scholar, and the recipient of the 2013 Women in Games Lifetime Achievement Award awarded by Microsoft. Romero was also named one of Forbes’ “12 Women in Gaming to Watch” in 2013, and one of the 100 most influential women in the game industry by Next Generation magazine in 2007. Nerve magazine also called her one of the 50 artists, actors, authors, activists and icons who are making the world a more stimulating place.
Prof. Luca Chittaro
Professor of Human Computer Interaction, University of Udine, Italy

Luca Chittaro is full professor of Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Virtual Reality (VR) and User Experience in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics at the University of Udine, where he heads the HCI Lab. He leads research projects in different areas, particularly in Virtual Reality, Persuasive Technology, Serious Games, Mobile HCI, and their applications to Health and Safety.
He has over 200 international publications in journals, books and proceedings. e has been ACM Distinguished Speaker from 2015 to 2021. He is a co-founder of AVIETRA, a company that creates VR applications for safety training, with a special focus on airlines and aviation. Professor Chittaro’s principal interest is in the disciplined design and rigorous evaluation of digital technologies such as virtual reality experiences, mobile apps, video games, and affective computing systems. He particularly focuses on systems to train people in facing risky and stressful situations, and to promote positive attitude and behavior change in users, especially in the health and safety domains. His game “Prepare for Impact”, the world-first game that reproduces the experience of real aircraft emergencies from the passenger’s viewpoint, has been downloaded by more than 19 millions players.
