Serious Games Society (SGS) was born from the GALA Network of Excellence, a multidisciplinary consortium of 30 partners from all over the EU. It aims to be a reference point for the scientific and technical community, being recognized for its contribution at scientific, technological, and professional levels.

CAPTRS is dedicated to setting a new standard for preparedness by harnessing the potential of next-generation games. CAPTRS primary objective is to equip decision makers with the necessary intuition and systems to effectively combat future pathogen threats and mitigate catastrophic global interdependencies. Our portfolio of games is meticulously designed based on extensive research and expertise. We focus not only on the strategic, operational, and tactical levels but also emphasize the cognitive dimension of decision making. By incorporating cognitive challenges, our games promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective decision making in complex scenarios. We recognize the diverse range of stakeholders involved in preparedness efforts. As a result, we are developing games that cater to various players, including public health and healthcare professionals, scientists and engineers, elected officials, and community and industry leaders. Our goal is to bolster preparedness across all stages of the decision cycle, from planning and response to recovery and resilience. Through immersive and engaging gameplay experiences, CAPTRS aims to empower decision makers with the skills, knowledge, and adaptive thinking required to navigate emerging pathogen threats successfully.
