GALA 2021 edition has been hosted by the NATO Science and Technology Organisation – Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation in La Spezia, Italy. La Spezia sits at the south-eastern tip of Liguria, close to the Tuscan border, and is famous for its stunning coastal scenery. Due to COVID-19 evolving situation the event took place on 1-2 December in a fully virtual format.
GALA 2021 received 50 paper submissions. Each paper was single-blind reviewed by three Program Committee members. The accepted papers, covering various aspects of serious game theories and applications, were presented in five paper sessions (21 full papers), acceptance rate 42%, and a poster session (10 short papers).
